Refuge (lat.: asylum, gr.: ásylon) place of retreat, asylum, shelter, particularly for persons being prosecuted by law.

I insisted on a realisation strictly in the city space. A pretty big safety island between two lanes seemed perfectly - avoided by pedestrians, flat, visually unattractive. That was how ’Refuge’ - a hideout, safe and isolated - came about. The realisation consisted of 15 micro tents, ’put up in the centre of the island and forming a kind of camp. At night lights would appear in the tents. ’Refuge’ existed a little more than 48 hours.
